After years of pining for a Coven and Murder House crossover, American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy finally delivered the goods. The first trailer for the upcoming season, Apocalypse, sees the Langdons and the Harmons cross paths with the Miss Robichaux witches. As an anonymous voice announces, “It’s the end of the world.”
The teaser trailer is filled with unsettling visuals set to a menacing score: Planes go down, things explode, and a platinum-haired Evan Peters asks whether “it’s time to eat somebody.”

Meanwhile, familiar faces abound—and some, it seems, will take on more than one role. Jessica Lange makes a much-anticipated return as Murder House’s nosy neighbor, Constance. She’s joined by Rubber Man, whose reappearance not only gives us the heebie-jeebies but an indication that Peters has reassumed his role as Constance's son, Tate. Coven's final Supreme (Sarah Paulson) is accompanied by the other Miss Robichaux ladies, including the mysteriously-resurrected Frances Conroy—and, it seems, they were correct in their doomsday predictions from season three.
Most exciting is the glimpse of a demon-eyed Michael Langdon (Cody Fern)—spawn of Rubber Man and Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton)—who's clearly grown into his role as the Anti-Christ. A brief Joan Collins sighting is yet another Easter egg, while the absence of certain cast members from this particular trailer (Stevie Nicks! Lily Rabe!) has only piqued our curiosity for the mayhem to come.
