Yesterday fans received the sad news that Elvis the cat had passed away. Born in 2004, Elvis made a name for himself as a staple on the podcast My Favorite Murder.
A siamese cat, he lived with Georgia Hardstark and fellow cats Mimi and Dot. While Elvis was well loved by his family, he became a much-adored celebrity through his role on My Favorite Murder. Elvis was known for his own special part on the show, which came to be just as expected and appreciated as the witty true-crime commentary or lively back-and-forth between the podcast's hosts Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark.

At the end of episodes, the fan-favorite would help out with his signature outtros. Elvis would leave the audience with a purr– or at least some sound that resembled a purr– after being asked, "Elvis, want a cookie?"
His parting responses will certainly be missed by the “Murderino” fan base, who showed their support on Instagram for host Georgia Hardstark, after she shared the news of Elvis's passing.
Writing a message on Instagram, alongside a photo of her and Elvis, Georgia said "I really don’t think any cat has ever been more loved."
