Feel like you’ve watched every decent horror movie on Netflix? We have good news for you. They just added a new, utterly terrifying horror movie that slipped under many a radar when it was released this summer.
Killing Ground comes from the land down under, and the realistic survival horror will have you rethinking your next camping trip. The Australian indie doesn’t feel like a small-stakes horror flick—this is not a quiet nightmare.
Instead, Killing Ground follows three sets of people whose lives converge at a remote camping site. Young lovers Sam and Ian are out for a romantic getaway; the Baker family, made up of mother Margaret, father Rob, teen daughter Em, and toddler Ollie, have arrived for a little bonding. Lurking in the woods are German and Chook, two depraved locals with a thirst for blood.
That may sound like the recipe to a familiar horror movie massacre; yet there's more to Killing Ground than meets the eye. This brutal film will appease any horror fiend’s gore-loving heart. But be warned: Once the action starts, it doesn’t let up for the rest of the film. If you’re looking for a bleak, hellish ride to fit the November weather, Killing Ground is for you.
